SYRIA, Decapolis. Nysa-Scythopolis. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ 23mm (11.21 g, 12h). Dated CY 304 (AD 240/1). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Tyche-Nysa seated right, cradling the infant Dionysos; date to right. Barkay 84; Rosenberger 58; cf. SNG ANS 1057. Fine, dark brown patina with some earthen highlights, flan flaw.
